PPAO is a New York based architecture and design firm led by Swiss architect Pino Pavese. The practice is dedicated to crafting distinctive residential spaces that translate client goals into harmonious, functional environments. Our design approach is rooted in spatial clarity, material honesty, and the thoughtful use of natural light to create a strong sense of presence. At our core, we value transparency, collaboration, and early engagement with consultants and vendors to ensure cost efficiency and quality control.
Pino Pavese, born in Switzerland, began his career in 1996 as an architectural draftsman. Educated at the University of Applied Science in Switzerland, he has since led projects across the US, Italy, and Switzerland, spanning residential, cultural, and commercial work. His career includes award-winning residential projects as well as winning entries in international competitions, where he served as senior designer and project manager. Beyond practice, he has returned regularly as an Adjunct Professor at NJIT’s School of Architecture and continues to contribute to academia as a visiting critic at Columbia University, Parsons School of Design, and the RISD.
